En el Estadio Claudio Tapia (Barracas Central) , tras igualar sin goles durante los 90 minutos y el alargue, Ferro superó 4-2 en la definición por penales a Argentinos Juniors.
Ambos equipos jugaron la final tras haber liderado las Zonas A y B, respectivamente.
Con este título, el conjunto de Caballito se sumó a Brown de Adrogué (2015) y a Platense (2016), los dos equipos que lograron salir campeones del torneo de la Reserva de Ascenso desde que éste volvió a disputarse.
